JOB DESCRIPTION

I.

Position Title:

Non-Instructional School Aide

II.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Must be able to relate well with children of all ages.

Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

III.

Reports to:

Principal or assigned supervisor

IV. Performance Responsibilities:

Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate interpersonal skills.

Monitor students during breaks, lunch, recess and/or getting on and off the bus.

Reinforce school-wide discipline procedures.

Assist with main office tasks.

Supervise the lunchroom during the school lunch period when the lunchroom is occupied by students.

Assist with distribution of food/snacks, and other routine lunchroom procedures as may be required.

Assist in monitoring children on the playground who eat lunch in school and those returning to school after off campus lunch.

Report lunch counts daily.

Performs such other appropriate duties that may be assigned by principal or other assigned supervisor.

VII. Terms of Employment:

Ten (10) months; compensation as established by the Board.
