Senior Facilities Manager

Lead facilities management for the GNWT as the Senior Facilities Manager in Hay River, NT. Oversee maintenance programs, budgets, and operations for critical public infrastructure across multiple communities.

The Facilities Manager is a senior role responsible for planning, administer maintenance budgets, and managing government buildings in Fort Smith, Hay River, and five additional communities. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in facilities operations, contract management, and project planning. This position requires effective leadership and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer maintenance programs for government buildings

• Manage regional funding and budgeting effectively

• Oversee contract administration and property management

• Lead and supervise maintenance staff across communities

• Ensure compliance with building operations and safety standards

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in Maintenance Management or related field

• 10 years of relevant experience in facilities management

• 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar role

• Class 5 NWT Driver's license for vehicle operation

• Experience in northern environments preferred
