This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mill-Turn Machinist located in Hayden, Mill‑Turn Machinist will be responsible for operating and programming CNC mill‑turn machines to manufacture precision components. Day‑to‑day tasks include interpreting blueprints, setting up equipment, performing quality checks, and optimizing machine settings to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Collaboration with team members to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve processes is also a critical aspect of this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings, applying GD&T standards to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of setups, adjustments, and inspection results for quality control purposes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming modifications and process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Perform complete teardowns and full setups of mill‑turn machines at the speed of a skilled machinist.
- Set up and offset all turning tools, radial & axial live tools, and sweep in tools accurately for a complete job.
- Change collets, chucks, adjust bar feeders, and install bar liners.
- Load programs, perform dry runs to prevent crashes, run first‑article parts, and conduct full inspection.
- Make necessary adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling to optimize cycle time and part quality.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine machine maintenance, clear jams, and diagnose mechanical or tooling issues. Maintain machines for chip removal, fluid levels and general housekeeping.
- Experience in operating and programming CNC mill‑turn machines.
- Five plus years of proven experience as a Mill Turn Set‑Up Machinist within a precision manufacturing environment.
- Background with Nakamura‑Tome WT100, WY100, WT250, Takisawa NEX
108 / NEX
105, Emco QT, and/or Clausing Storm 100. - Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skills in inspecting and maintaining quality control standards.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize processes.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work in a team environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing, lifting, and working in a machine shop environment.
- Competitive Pay: $25–$36 per hour based on your real setup speed, quality, and attitude.

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (future swing shift option available). - High‑End Equipment:
