Job Description:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Technician Trainee. In this role, you will support the production of composite ducting components by performing layup operations according to manufacturing specifications. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
+ Review manufacturing plans, work instructions, and specifications prior to beginning work.
+ Gather and verify all required materials, tools, molds, and mandrels.
+ Perform composite layup processes according to established manufacturing procedures.
+ Inspect work throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality and detect Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
+ Conduct visual inspections of completed parts for defects and compliance with specifications.
+ Prepare, clean, and bag composite parts according to production requirements.
+ Move completed parts to designated production or staging areas.
+ Maintain accurate adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing activities.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
+ Properly handle, store, and dispose of materials and waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
+ Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
+ Support production goals and assist with additional duties as assigned.

Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Minimum 6 months of manufacturing, production, assembly, or related experience preferred
+ Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
+ Forklift certification is a plus
+
Experience with composites, aerospace manufacturing, or hand layup processes is preferred but not required
Work Environment:
+ Manufacturing facility with exposure to production equipment, airborne particles, and manufacturing materials
+ PPE required, including safety glasses, gloves, and other protective equipment as needed
+ Frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements
+ Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
+ Moderate to loud noise environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
