Job Description
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
You will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. The role includes donor eligibility assessment, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results.
You will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment, and support the center in environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance.
How you will contribute- Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and blood testing.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER.
- Coordinate pandemic investigations as authorized by EHS.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate program or recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completed FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two or more years in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationHourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68 US, adjusted for qualifications and experience, and in accordance with local minimum wage requirements.
