Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN

About the Role

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical issues, supporting plasma center operations and ensuring donor safety and compliance with regulations.

• Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions during the donation process and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician's standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer unacceptable findings or medical concerns to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs and provide guidance regarding donor safety and eligibility.
• Support HepatitisB and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents, determining if further evaluation is required by occupational health or employee relations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community per EHS or Medical Affairs guidance.
• Assist with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) support and follow EHS guidance for employee incidents.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Current state license or certification (LPN or LVN) in the assigned state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfil state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactory completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years clinical or hospital experience.

Location:

USA – Idaho – Hayden. Hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68. Compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and local minimum wage requirements.
