Quality Engineer

Our client in Hayden,  is currently hiring for a Quality Engineer. This position is a fully onsite opportunity supporting manufacturing quality initiatives, process improvement efforts, and quality system compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in Quality Engineering, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, CAPA, and manufacturing environments where quality, consistency, and continuous improvement are critical to success.

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Schedule:

Standard Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily Quality Department operations and provide leadership support when needed.
  • Develop and maintain quality objectives that align with organizational goals and customer requirements.
  • Create, implement, and improve inspection, testing, and evaluation processes.
  • Lead quality planning activities related to manufacturing processes, new products, and production support.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, supplier documentation, and quality records for compliance.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor performance and drive improvements.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze quality data, inspection results, and audit findings to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve product performance.
  • Investigate customer quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and continuous improvement initiatives to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization.
  • Develop and deliver quality-related training to employees and cross-functional teams.
  • Support internal, customer, and external quality audits.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Experience supporting production and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis and implementing CAPA initiatives.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting quality data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Experience with 5S, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Experience supporting audits and quality management systems.

Disqualifiers:

  • No experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • No Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience.
  • No experience with SPC, Root Cause Analysis, or CAPA methodologies.
  • Limited experience analyzing quality data and driving corrective actions.
  • No experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Less than 3 years of relevant quality experience.
