Responsibilities
- Maintain a functional and professional appearing building complex by performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Assembling, installing and/or repairing wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
Painting and repairing roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures. Estimating repair costs. Ordering parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtaining them from storerooms. Recording maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work. - Maintain clean and healthy environment by sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors; vacuuming rugs and carpets. Cleaning, dusting, and polishing cabinets, furniture, counters, and woodwork. Emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning stairways, hallways, rest rooms, offices, and lobbies; cleaning ceilings, walls, window shades, light fixtures. Assisting in moving and arranging furniture and equipment as required; wash windows, and other related tasks as necessary.
- Maintain exterior of the building complex by providing proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other grounds features. Mowing and edging lawns, using power mowers and edger's. Maintaining irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring. Removing snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots. Operating powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
Using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes. - Ensures necessary movement of material by driving to and from specified destinations such as vendors, landfills or within company complex.
- Accomplish company and organizational mission by contributing to team effort and handling other duties as assigned assisting in the overall success of the company.
- Self-Motivation with the ability to set goals and objectives
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attentive and detail oriented
- Capable of driving at night
- Ability to become qualified to perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time; up to 66% of day.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
