Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance

Are you a proactive problem solver who loves variety and takes pride in a job well done? The Hadley Center is looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Person to join our team in Hays, KS!

Since 2001, we have provided customizable professional spaces—including commercial offices, medical office units, retail spaces, and self-storage to keep local businesses thriving. Our building houses a vibrant, diverse community of professionals, salons, and a local bistro. We need a master of all trades to ensure our properties, conference rooms, and facilities remain functional, tidy, and safe for everyone.

No two days are exactly the same here! Your main goal is to maintain excellent facility conditions through preventative and routine care, including:

• General Repairs:
  Fixing fixtures, basic carpentry, patching walls, and handling minor plumbing or electrical troubleshooting.
• Upkeep & Safety:
  Keeping walkways clear, maintaining grounds, changing light bulbs, and helping with seasonal needs.
• Tenant Support:
  Promptly responding to repair requests to help our business owners succeed in a flawless environment.
• Facility Prep:
  Helping ensure our climate-controlled storage areas and shared conference rooms are always pristine and ready for use.

• The
  
  Experience:
  
  Solid technical knowledge and hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical is preferred(familiarity with multi-tenant office facilities is a plus!).
• The
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong troubleshooting abilities, tool proficiency, and a keen eye for safety and detail.
• The Stamina:
  Physical capability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and comfortably handle indoor/outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• The Mindset: A reliable self-starter with great customer service skills who loves interacting with an active business community.

Steady hours during typical business operations (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
