Position Overview
Machinist I – Responsible for fabricating new and replacement parts for durable medical equipment, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards, maintaining a safe working environment, and contributing to team efforts within Agiliti’s manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricating parts (60% of time):
Utilize machinery such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, shapers, or grinders; adjust settings to meet specifications; assist in unloading materials; operate according to standard operating procedures; complete daily maintenance and documentation. - Quality & Efficiency (25% of time):
Check accuracy to meet specifications; perform preventive maintenance; maintain inventory; adhere to ISO and FDA regulations; use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). - Safety (10% of time):
Attend safety training; turn off and lock out equipment not in use; maintain a clean work area. - Team Support (5% of time):
Collaborate with team to accomplish related results; fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school accreditation or skilled trades program preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic; manual dexterity; ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of blueprints; ability to stand for long periods (up to 80% of the day); can become qualified in Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out procedures.
- Computer proficiency is required; experience with machinery and controls.
- May become a Certified Forklift Operator, DOT Certified Driver, or Company Driver (None required at present).
- Read and interpret operational instructions and manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Perform mathematical calculations for measurements and basic mechanical calculations.
- Apply common sense to carry out written or diagrammatic instructions.
- Handle problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations.

Constantly (over 66% of the time), Frequently (33‑66%), Occasionally (0‑33%).
Manufacturing setting; frequent lifting up to 75 lbs; required safety equipment (eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, hard hat). Loose clothing and jewelry prohibited.
