Job Summary

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide psychopharmacological services at High Plains Mental Health Center in Oberlin, Kansas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychopharmacological services and prescribe medications per written protocols.
  • Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments, history‑taking, and differential diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient.
  • Monitor patient symptoms and medication side effects.
  • Serve as primary point of referral for medical evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Offer crisis intervention and management of chronic mental‑health issues.
  • Educate patients and families on prevention and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
  • APRNP licensure in Kansas as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) designation.
  • Proficiency with modern technology (computers, EMRs, telehealth platforms).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
