Job Summary
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide psychopharmacological services at High Plains Mental Health Center in Oberlin, Kansas.
Key Details- Location:
Oberlin, Kansas - Job Type: Full‑Time, In‑Person
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm (some flexibility) - Pay:
Salary based on experience, with $15,000 sign‑on bonus. - Final date to receive applications:

We are expanding access to care in underserved, rural communities. This role is a chance to bring high‑quality care to areas that have lacked services for too long while contributing to a meaningful mission.
Responsibilities- Provide psychopharmacological services and prescribe medications per written protocols.
- Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments, history‑taking, and differential diagnoses.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient.
- Monitor patient symptoms and medication side effects.
- Serve as primary point of referral for medical evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Offer crisis intervention and management of chronic mental‑health issues.
- Educate patients and families on prevention and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Master’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
- APRNP licensure in Kansas as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) designation.
- Proficiency with modern technology (computers, EMRs, telehealth platforms).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
