Registered Nurse (RN) –

Saturday/Sunday Contract Agreement 7pm-7am

Work Wellbeing Score on Indeed: 83

This is not just another nursing position. It is a front‑line role in a setting where clinical expertise, critical thinking, and compassion intersect every day to change lives.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who understands that behavioral health care requires more than routine treatment—it demands presence, resilience, and the ability to respond when patients are at their most vulnerable. If you are driven to make a measurable difference, this role offers that opportunity.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an inpatient psychiatric environment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, respond to urgent medical needs, and guide care through clinical judgment and collaboration.

This role is central to the treatment team—ensuring care plans are executed effectively, documentation is accurate, and patients receive consistent, safe, and therapeutic support. You will also play a key role in fostering an environment built on respect, safety, and inclusion.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas
  • Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
  • Three to six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in behavioral health settings
What You Will Do
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing reassessments
  • Administer medications using barcode scanning and monitor medication administration records
  • Review and implement provider orders accurately and without delay
  • Collect, document, and communicate patient data in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Monitor vital signs, allergies, and patient responses to medications and treatments
  • Provide first aid and appropriate clinical interventions within scope of practice
  • Coordinate appointments and communicate with pharmacy partners
  • Conduct admission and walk‑in assessments as needed
  • Assist with discharge planning and review discharge instructions
  • Support patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and care plan adjustments
  • Lead or support hygiene and psycho educational groups
  • Respond to crises using trained de‑escalation techniques
  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all regulatory requirements
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation before the end of each shift
  • Communicate effectively with guardians, providers, and care teams
Who You Are
  • You lead with clinical confidence and emotional intelligence
  • You remain calm, focused, and decisive in high‑pressure situations
  • You treat every patient and colleague with dignity and respect
  • You are solutions‑oriented and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment
  • You take ownership of your work and hold yourself to a high professional standard
Our Culture and Expectations

Our work is grounded in purpose. Helping people is not just what we do—it defines who we are. We value authenticity, compassion, and strong family connections. We move forward through collaboration, act with urgency, and embrace innovation. We believe diverse perspectives strengthen outcomes.

As part of our team, you are expected to model these values, build on strengths, and contribute to a workplace where both patients and colleagues feel supported and respected.

Why This Role Matters

In behavioral health, the margin for impact is immediate and significant. The care you provide, the decisions you make, and the way you engage with patients can directly influence recovery and stability.

This role is for nurses who want more than a task list. It is for those who want their work to carry weight, responsibility, and real human impact every single day.
