Registered Nurse (RN) - Exceptional Care and Leadership Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team by overseeing staff assignments and providing comprehensive supervision of resident care. Your responsibilities encompass ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care by adhering to established policies and procedures, as well as following the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).
Position DescriptionThe role primarily involves managing resident care, ensuring adherence to policies, and collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications- Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program with current licensure in the state of Kansas. - Leadership:
Strong leadership abilities and willingness to collaborate with professional and nonprofessional personnel. - Language:
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Complete all required registered nurse record-keeping forms and charts during resident admissions, discharges, transfers, and other important events, ensuring proper filing or forwarding to relevant departments.
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Facilitate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, including necessary transportation arrangements and packing.
- Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, specimen collection, and other medical procedures per facility policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the facility’s consultants as required and implement recommended changes under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).
- Investigate and address complaints and grievances, providing necessary oral and written reports to the DON.
- Exchange nursing reports at the beginning and end of shift duty hours.
- Conduct daily checks on all residents to ensure prescribed treatments are administered correctly by nursing personnel/assistants and assess their physical and emotional well-being.
- Keep the DON informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.
