Position: Vision Center Manager NL2

Position Summary

Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in‑stock inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Provide direction and guidance to associates on proper customer/member service approaches to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines and standards. Participate in community outreach and encourage associates to serve as good community members.

Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, developing action plans to improve performance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and fostering a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensure provision of quality eyewear by consulting with members, selecting products based on member needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
  • Uphold the company’s Open Door Policy: meet with associates, listen to concerns, research issues, review company policies, and suggest resolutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and applying them in business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of 2 or more years of college or 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience or 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising associates.
Compensation & Benefits

The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 – $34.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and, for certain positions, regional pay zone differences.
