Quality Assurance Support Assistant
Reports To: Director of Quality
Job StoryWeckworth Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated QA Assistant with a background in Industrial Engineering to support the Quality Director (QA). This role will focus on assisting with quality assurance processes, data analysis, and process improvement in our QA/Manufacturing. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Job SummaryAn employee assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by the Director.
Job Duties- Quality Control Support:
Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring QA processes to ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9100) - Data Collection & Analysis:
Collect and analyze data from inspections and quality reports to identify trends and recommend improvements. - Documentation & Reporting:
Assist in organizing quality control documents, including NCRs/CA’s and audit reports, ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping. - Process Improvement:
Work with QA Director to develop, test and implement improvements in quality procedures and workflows. - Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with engineering, production and QC teams to resolve quality issues and communicate changes in QA procedures. - Compliance Audits:
Support internal and external audit preparations by compiling necessary documents and reviewing QA procedures. - Other Duties as Assigned:
Perform other related duties to support the QA Director and team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and statistical methods.
- Experience or coursework related to manufacturing, quality control or process improvement.
- Familiarity with quality standards like AS9100, ISO 9001 or similar.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers and calculators.
- Ability to communicate with other and accurately exchange information.
Full-time. Mon-Thurs 6:30am-5:00pm & OT on Fri/Sat as needed.
Compensation$19-21/hour
