Quality Manager needed for a manufacturing company in Haysville, KS!
Location: On-site
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM;
Friday, 7:30 AM-11:30 AM
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control operations within a manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining product quality standards, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and developing a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership- Lead all quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Develop and maintain quality policies, objectives, and systems.
- Monitor quality performance and provide reporting to leadership.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee in-process, final, and random inspections.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality records, corrective actions, and audit documentation.
- Lead customer, supplier, and regulatory quality audits.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to reduce defects, improve yields, and minimize waste.
- Conduct process audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary contact for quality-related customer and supplier issues.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards.
- Support supplier quality improvement and corrective action efforts.
- Manage, mentor, and develop quality personnel.
- Establish accountability and quality performance expectations.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Apparel/Textiles, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and AS9100 Rev
D. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a job shop or build-to-print manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with government, military, aerospace, or OEM quality requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Combination of office and manufacturing floor settings.
- Regular exposure to production equipment and materials.
- Occasional travel for customer and supplier audits.
