Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract, part-time basis. This onsite contract position in Hayward, California offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while supporting a busy accounting team. The role focuses on invoice management, coding, and vendor communication, requiring someone who is tech-savvy and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately code and input invoices into the accounting system.

- Process accounts payable transactions from receipt to payment completion.

- Assign and verify general ledger (GL) codes to ensure proper job or project cost allocation.

- Support cost accounting procedures by reviewing invoices prior to payment posting.

- Maintain data accuracy across multiple accounting platforms.

- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.

- Provide administrative and coding assistance to the accounting department.

- Perform data validation and process checks to ensure consistency and compliance. Requirements
