Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity within the manufacturing sector. This position will support daily accounts receivable operations, including payment processing, account reconciliation, collections, and resolving customer account discrepancies. Previous manufacturing industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Process and apply customer payments accurately and promptly
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
• Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status
• Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account balances
• Prepare and distribute invoices and customer statements
• Maintain detailed collection notes and supporting documentation
• Research short payments, deductions, credits, and unapplied cash
• Coordinate with customers, sales, customer service, and internal accounting teams
• Assist with month-end closing and accounts receivable reporting
• Respond to customer questions professionally and promptly
• Provide additional accounting support as assigned
