Virtuoso Criminal and DUI Lawyers is a respected criminal defense law firm serving clients across Northern California. We pride ourselves on providing dedicated, high-quality legal representation and exceptional client service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated part-time Accounts Receivable / Legal Assistant to join our team.

Position Overview

This role combines accounts receivable responsibilities with legal administrative support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working with numbers and legal documents, and able to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up with clients
  • Contact clients directly to process payments and resolve outstanding balances professionally and courteously
  • Process and reconcile payments, maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with legal administrative tasks such as preparing documents, filing, and client correspondence
  • Support attorneys and office staff with scheduling, document management, and other tasks as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or legal administrative work preferred
  • Comfortable speaking with clients about payments in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal or accounting software a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
Schedule
  • Part-time (20–25 hours per week, flexible schedule)
