Duties and Responsibilities

Teach lecture classes as assigned for the Construction Management Curriculum;

Ability to teach evening classes;

Consult with students during office hours;

Create lesson plans, facilitate effective instruction, and assess student learning;

Participate in the development and/or selection of course materials, equipment and technology that will enhance student engagement and learning;

Participate in on-going development, assessment, and analysis of student learning outcomes in the construction management program;

Perform other duties as required by contract, collective bargaining agreement, and general institutional needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, and/or other specifications as noted, or specifically named associate degree and six years of professional experience. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
• Evidence of understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to equity-minded practices within the classroom.
• Applicants applying under the "Equivalent" provision must provide details that explain at time of application how their academic preparation is the equivalent of the degree listed above.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching higher education.
