Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $5,540.00 per month to $7,893.00 per month.
PLEASE NOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,540.00 per month to $6,716.00 per month.

About the Position

Review of applications will begin on February 11, 2026.

This position is temporary through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of reappointment.

In collaboration with campus partners, the DISARC coordinator provides cultural and personal guidance to students to support their academic advancement; develops, designs, updates, and implements cultural programs, services and training for our specific population of students; completes outreach to expand current services; builds and maintains partnerships with on- and off-campus resources; and gathers feedback and research to implement best practices.

The DISARC Coordinator will also provide work direction to student employees and professional staff members. The DISARC Coordinator provides leadership and guidance to the campus community regarding the specific student population of the center for which they will serve as the direct coordinator. The DISARC Coordinator has responsibilities which include but are not limited to supporting student programs planning, marketing, publicity and measurement of program effectiveness for the department.

The DISARC Coordinator will also have a DISARC functional area for which they will serve as the point person for that function for the entire department.

Responsibilities Staffing Support
  • Provide support to the DISARC Lead Coordinator (SSP IV) in department staffing functions by helping communicate job expectations, monitoring workflow, and contributing to the development and implementation of systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Work in collaboration with the Director and the DISARC Lead Coordinator (SSP IV) to assess staffing needs and support staffing‑related planning, referring complex staffing or personnel matters to the Director.
  • In consultation with the Director, recruit, select and hire student assistants.
  • Serve as a resource regarding program policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of student staff training structure (including routine meetings and retreats) designed to build leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Coordinate welcome and recognition events for the student leaders.
  • Serve as a secondary point of support for staffing‑related operational needs during the temporary absence of the DISARC Lead Coordinator (SSP IV), ensuring continuity of routine operations and referring higher‑level staffing decisions and personnel matters to the Director as appropriate.
