Position Available:
One or more temporary, part‑time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.
The Department of Educational Psychology provides a unique range of professional, academic, and clinical training for Special Education teachers, Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT), School Counselors, and School Psychologists.
Duties of the PositionThe Department of Educational Psychology seeks part‑time lecturers to teach courses in MFT, P.P.S. credential, or Education Specialist (special education) programs, and/or supervise students or student learning. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
Rankand Salary
Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. An appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions. The salary ranges for the Lecturer—Academic Year classification are listed below. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
Dates of AppointmentFall Semester Start & End dates: 08/17/26 – 12/18/26
Spring Semester Start & End dates: 01/19/27 – 05/21/27
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in addition to relevant professional experience and credentials or licenses, including Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Educational Psychology, Psychology, Special Education, Education, School Counseling, or School Psychology.
