Lecturer Pool - Department of Computer Science AY

Overview

We are accepting applications for one or more temporary, part‑time lecturer positions to fill future courses in the Department of Computer Science. These positions will be part of a lecturer pool and instructors will be considered for appointments as Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters become available.

Teach lower‑division computer programming and advanced topics in computer science. Teaching assignments may be at the California State University, East Bay main campus, the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online. All faculty members are required to perform their duties within the state of California.

  3) — $6,221 – $13,224

  4) — $6,825 – $14,523
• Lecturer AY (Range
  5) — $8,593 – $15,211

Anticipated salary range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization.

Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026;
Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.

Applicants must possess a graduate (master's) degree in computer science and have post‑secondary teaching experience.

Positions remain open until filled. Applications are considered on a continuous basis.

A background check, including criminal records and employment verification, must be completed and cleared prior to the start of employment. All faculty members are expected to perform duties within California.
