Part‑time Lecturer Pool Position. One or more temporary, part‑time lecturers will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026, and/or Spring Semester 2027.

The Department of Social Work consists of approximately 22 faculty, including tenured and both full‑time and part‑time lecturers. It offers a Master in Social Work degree and is an accredited Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) program. The department admits approximately 100 students per year into two degree options:
Community Mental Health (CMH) or Children, Youth, and Family (CYF).

• Teach social work curriculum sequences, including generalist and advanced practice, policy, research, field practicum, human behavior & the social environment, and race, gender, and inequality.
• Assignments may be at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. All teaching duties are to be performed within the state of California.

Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026;
Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.

• Applicants for practice courses must have an MSW and a minimum of two years of post‑MSW practice experience.
• Applicants for research courses should have a PhD in Social Welfare or a related field; ADB will be considered.
• University teaching experience is preferred.
