Part‑Time Lecturer Pool Position
We are looking to fill one or more temporary, part‑time lecturer positions in the Department of Educational Leadership (Doctoral Program). Instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027. Teaching may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. All faculty must perform all duties within the state of California.
Dutiesof the Position
Faculty teach courses and advise students in various capacities. Course descriptions are available at http://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). The program may seek instructors who bring expertise as school, system, or agency leaders and who can support doctoral student research. The doctoral faculty and students are committed to challenging systematic inequities in schools and other educational settings.
Rank and SalarySalary depends on educational preparation and experience. The salary ranges for the Lecturer–Academic Year classification are listed below (for reference only).
- Lecturer AY (Range 2): $5,507 – $6,677
- Lecturer AY (Range 3): $6,221 – $13,224
- Lecturer AY (Range 4): $6,825 – $14,523
- Lecturer AY (Range 5): $8,593 – $15,211
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
Dates Of Appointment- Fall Semester: 08/07/26 – 12/18/26
- Spring Semester: 01/19/27 – 05/21/27
Qualified applicants must have an earned Doctorate in Educational Leadership or another relevant field and experience teaching. Some positions require school district or agency administrative experience while others require applied research expertise.
Conditions of EmploymentApplicants must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States and must provide necessary documentation. Background checks—including a criminal records check and verification of academic credentials—are required prior to employment. All faculty must perform duties within California.
