No Lead teacher experience necessary, but we do require teaching experience. We are willing to train if you think you have what it takes to be a Lead Teacher.
The Lead teacher will maintain their own classroom.
Qualifications- Ability to comply with attendance standards which require that the Lead teacher be regularly present in the work place each day for the numbers of hours required and must be timely in starting work.
- Have the ability to lead and supervise others.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions from the Director.
- Ability to interact well with co-workers, management, parents, children, and any members of the public.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism from co-workers, as well as management.
- Administer and document all children’s medications.
- Supervise staff at all times, maintaining a high standard of operation.
- Maintain open channels of communication with the Director at all times.
- Ensure positive methods of discipline are being implemented at all times.
- Maintain a positive parent rapport at all times.
- Implement a program that ensures the health, safety, and welfare of the children at all times.
- Attend and facilitate staff meetings and conduct department meetings on a regular basis.
- Attend monthly management meetings.
- Follow- up on staff concerns and complaints.
- Provide support and feedback to staff to ensure complete and through communication.
- Report to the Director on matters requiring his or her attention or assistance.
- Follow up on staff’s Behavioral and Developmental Reports regularly.
- Maintain all Alternative Payment time sheets, ensuring that they are complete at the end of every month.
- Arrange for parents of children who are ill to be called after obtaining the consent of the Director.
- Evaluate, with the Director, all staff supervised.
- Complete and submit administrative documents punctually.
- Oversee the training of our new staff.
- Ensure the Director is always informed of the current teacher/child ratios in the department.
- Submit requests for equipment and supplies.
- Manage the scheduling of all breaks in the event of sudden staff changes due to absence/s.
