Part-Time Lecturer Position
POSITION AVAILABLE:
One or more temporary, part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.
The Department of Educational Leadership may seek temporary, part-time lecturers to teach courses in school law, school finance, and supervision and staff development in schools. The department also seeks part-time lecturers to supervise students in fieldwork sites. Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
Rankand Salary
Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions. The salary ranges for the Lecturer-Academic Year classification are listed below:

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
Dates of AppointmentFall Semester Start & End dates: 08/17/26 – 12/18/26
Spring Semester Start & End dates: 01/19/27 – 05/21/27
QualificationsCandidates must have a Master’s degree and relevant professional experience.

Cal State East Bay will issue a conditional offer of employment to the selected candidate, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
Unsatisfactory results may also affect the continued employment of current Cal State East Bay employees who were conditionally offered the position.
