FACULTY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Part‑Time Lecturer Pool Position – Department of Mathematics, Cal State East Bay.

One or more temporary, part‑time lecturer positions for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments in Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.

• Provide high‑quality active learning experiences in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
• Use department‑provided materials and adhere to coordinated elements for lower‑division courses.
• Utilize “embedded peer support” and effectively engage this resource as part of instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues.
• Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online; all duties are performed within the state of California.

Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience, and subject to budgetary authorization.

Salary Schedule (Academic Year, Lecturer):

• Range 2 – $5,507 – $6,677
• Range 3 – $6,221 – $13,224
• Range 4 – $6,825 – $14,523
• Range 5 – $8,593 – $15,211

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

Fall Semester – begins August 17, 2026;
Spring Semester – begins January 19, 2027.

• Master’s Degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or another relevant field, based on available courses.
