Job Summary
PT Instructor, Technical Theater. Salary: $2,253.10/CAH–$2,521.46/CAH.

Location:
Chabot College, 25555 Hesperian Blvd, Hayward, CA 94545.
- Teach the course that leads to the construction and painting of sets for Chabot College Theater productions, guiding students through shop tools and construction practices during the build of a show.
- Part‑time faculty responsibilities including classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, advising, professional development, office hours, and other assignment‑specific duties.
- Participate in program and subject‑area improvement tasks such as creating and assessing Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), program review, and curriculum development.
- Bachelor’s degree(s) or higher with at least two years of professional experience; or associate degree with at least six years of professional experience.
- Evidence of understanding and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and racial and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, and of equity‑minded practices within the classroom.
- College‑level teaching experience in Technical Theater.
- Demonstrated understanding of the process of completing the build for a theater production.
- Evidence of ongoing professional work as a set builder.
