Salary Range: $5,083.00 per month to $7,228.00 per month. Please note:
The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,083.00 per month to $6,155.00 per month.

The BSBA Associate Academic Advisor & Graduate Programs Assistant (Self-Support Programs) provides academic advising and basic program support for the Online BSBA Self-Support Program and assists with coordination for Self-Support Graduate Programs within the College of Business & Economics (CBE).
Working under general guidance, the incumbent supports Online BSBA students by assisting with academic planning, course selection, and understanding degree requirements and progress toward graduation following established guidelines and procedures. The position serves as a resource for students on program requirements, providing routine advising support, referring complex issues to senior advising staff, and connecting students with appropriate campus services as needed.
The incumbent also provides administrative support for graduate program coordination activities, assisting with established processes related to degree checks, documentation, and student records. This role collaborates with faculty, staff, Extended Education, and campus partners to support program operations and ensure accuracy of student information.

- Provide comprehensive academic advising to Online BSBA Self-Support students on major requirements, GE, and university policies, following established guidelines and procedures.
- Assist students with course selection, registration, petitions, and degree progress tracking.
- Identify students experiencing academic difficulties and refer complex cases or exceptions to senior advisors as appropriate. Assist in developing individualized plans for success.
- Evaluate transfer, test, and military credits for degree applicability using established articulation rules and document determinations for review when needed. Ensure approvals are recorded accurately.
- Conduct preliminary major checks and support graduation eligibility reviews for BSBA Self-Support students in coordination with senior advising staff.
- Utilize advising systems (Bay Advisor, degree planning tools, People Soft) for degree tracking and routine student outreach.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries via email, phone, and virtual advising platforms, escalating complex or sensitive issues as needed.
- Collaborate with Extended Education and the Student Support & Success Coordinator on advising processes, registration campaigns, and retention efforts.
- Maintain adherence to FERPA and ethical advising standards in all student interactions.
- Provide guidance to students on course articulation and transfer credit evaluation processes using established resources.
- Apply existing guidelines to determine applicability of military, test, and course transfer credit to major requirements and document outcomes in appropriate systems (TES, advising databases, etc.) for use as references.
- Collaborate with the Study Abroad Office and department chair to gather information for evaluation of international coursework for transfer applicability.
