Assistant Professor (2 positions) – Full‑Time, Tenure‑Track.
LocationCalifornia State University, East Bay (CSUEB) – Hayward campus, Concord Center, and online.
DutiesThe successful candidates will:
- Teach graduate courses in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Science in Health Care Administration (MS‑HCA) programs, with a preference for online and hybrid modalities.
- Advise students, support research, and contribute to program development.
- Maintain an active research portfolio and pursue scholarly publication.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university‑wide committees and administrative activities.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications- Earned doctorate in public administration or related field (ABDs acceptable if Ph.D. completed by appointment date in August 2027).
- Broad expertise in core public administration areas: leadership, policy, finance & budgeting, quality assessment & improvement, and strategic planning.
- Preferred expertise in health care administration and related policy areas.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching public administration at the graduate level, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Record of scholarly achievement and an active research agenda, including opportunities for community engagement.
- Experience in committee work, leadership roles, and service to institutional or community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skills in advising and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
Assistant Professor – Salary dependent upon education and experience; salary range to be provided. Appointment begins Fall Semester 2027.
