The starting salary depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,274.00 per month to $6,430.00 per month (Step 1 to Step 11). Administrative Analyst, Exempt I

Cal State East Bay's beautiful main campus is located in the Hayward hills with panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay shoreline. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Recreation & University Unions (RUU), the Recreation Programs Coordinator provides guidance for Fitness Programs and Intramural Sport (IMS) Programs supporting the Recreation and Wellness (RAW) center and programming for the campus community. The Coordinator supports general operations for the 2‑story Fitness Center, personal training programs, and group fitness classes. They coordinate intramural sport leagues, tournaments, workshops, competitions, and other sport‑related activities.

The Coordinator is responsible for establishing a variety of recreation programs that meet the needs of a diverse campus community, collaborating with the campus community and RWUU staff to develop events, workshops, and special events. They establish curriculum for the "Move More Daily Campaign", track data for participants, and evaluate program outcomes. The coordinator participates on campus‑wide committees to represent the programmatic needs of Recreation and Wellness Services.

They coordinate equipment needs and collaborate with RUU leadership to establish annual budget projections for acquisition, maintenance, and repair of equipment and facility needs. Procedures for minimizing risk and injury to participants are enforced. The coordinator establishes policies and protocols for reporting to the Director, Risk Management, and emergency response personnel when applicable.

This position provides leadership to student fitness center attendants, student personal trainers, student group fitness instructors, intramural sports staff, and non‑student casual workers.
