Part‑time Lecturers for a temporary pool. Instructors will be considered for appointment as positions become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.
Department of EconomicsThe Department offers courses at undergraduate (BS Economics, BSBA) and graduate (MBA) levels in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and a variety of subfields.
Duties of the PositionTeaching one or more introductory and/or advanced courses in Economics. Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online, all within California.
Rank and SalaryInstructor rank:
Lecturer. Salary depends on education and experience and is subject to budgetary authorization.

Anticipated hiring range: near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

January 19, 2027.
Minimum:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in business or economics. Ph.D. in economics preferred. Degree from AACSB‑accredited institution preferred.
Professional experience of a significant duration and level of responsibility, consistent with teaching responsibilities.
For candidates with a research Ph.D. in economics, a current research record in the teaching field is required. ABDs must have completed examinations within the last three years.
