Moreau Catholic High School is currently seeking a science teacher beginning with the  academic year
.

Founded in 1965 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Moreau Catholic High School emphasizes college-preparatory excellence in all programs designed to facilitate the informative, formative, and transformative needs of the individual student. Located approximately 25 miles southeast of San Francisco, in Hayward, California, the school is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

With approximately 844 students, the co-educational student body reflects the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of the Bay Area, and the school has enjoyed a 99% collegiate matriculation. Our graduating seniors have been accepted into 1,000+ universities and colleges yearly, and have garnered, on average, between $11-14 million in scholarships and grants.

Candidates should currently possess a California Teaching Credential and hold at least a bachelor’s degree.

• Maintain high standards of student performance and engage students using a variety of pedagogical methods.
• Experience teaching high school biology and A/P Environmental Science
• Demonstrate and promote the responsible use of technology as a learning tool.
• Provide help for students outside of class time.
• Have the ability to thrive in a team environment
• Establish a learning environment where every student’s right to learn is respected.

We offer a very competitive salary and an excellent benefits package with an additional stipend for a master’s and/or doctoral degree. Placement on the certificated salary schedule is based on education and teaching experience. Transcripts will be required at the time of hire.

Annual compensation based on Moreau’s Faculty Salary Scale: $65,500 - $123,966
