The Program Director of Counselor Residency is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of the Counselor Residency Program for the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) and partnering institutions of higher education (IHE). This includes working closely with our IHE partner, districts, and mentor counselors to develop and lead a program that prepares future school counselors for attending to the emotional, social, and academic needs of Alameda County youth, grounded in humanity, love, and an enduring belief in every student’s ability to achieve and thrive.
This job reports to the Director of Residencies.
First Screening: 8/14/26
- Master’s Degree in school counseling
- Three (3+) years working in K-12 public education
- Experience managing or supervising a counseling program (preferred)
- 3-5 years of working as a School Counselor
