Part-Time Lecturer Pool Position

DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Department of Computer Science has 12 full‑time faculty members and offers a B.S. and M.S. program. It teaches over 30 undergraduate and approximately 20 graduate courses each semester, with classes offered in day, evening, online, and in‑person. The department is committed to small class sizes and extensive faculty‑student interaction.
Duties of the Position- Teach lower‑division computer programming and advanced computer science topics.
- Assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online.
Lecturer. Salary depends on educational preparation and experience and is subject to budgetary authorization.

Expected hiring range is near the minimum of the appropriate range based on education and experience.
Date of AppointmentFall Semester begins August 17, 2026;
Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.
- Graduate (master’s) degree in Computer Science.
- Teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
