Part‑Time Lecturer Pool Position (Faculty Employment Opportunity)

One or more temporary, part‑time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.

The Department offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in marketing. Courses serve students completing Business and Marketing majors and other majors. The department has nine tenured or tenure‑track faculty and several lecturers.

Part‑time employment teaching one or more introductory and/or advanced courses in Marketing. Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online. All faculty members are expected to perform their duties within the state of California.

Lecturer. Salary depends on educational preparation and experience and is subject to budgetary authorization.

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

Fall Semester begins August 17 2026;
Spring Semester begins January 19 2027.

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in business or economics. Ph.D. in business or economics preferred.
• Degree from an AACSB‑accredited institution preferred.
• Professional experience that is significant in duration and level of responsibility, and consistent with teaching responsibilities.
• Or, with a research Ph.D. in business or economics, must have a current research record in the teaching field. ABDs must have completed exams in the last three years.
