The ideal candidate has experience establishing rigorous foundations for system development in early-stage, multidisciplinary environments and will enjoy applying broad technical skills and systems-level thinking to turn complex ideas into working systems.
Key Responsibilities- Define and refine system, subsystem, and interface designs to meet proposed product requirements, including early-stage work needed to rapidly stress test assumptions underlying product feasibility.
- Integrate high-level product and customer needs into actionable, well-documented technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners to test and validate design and integration choices.
- Support internal alignment through clear documentation and communication of decisions, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Identify technical or integration risks, assumptions, and gaps as early as possible, and drive structured efforts to mitigate or resolve them.

- Take ownership of assigned areas while working closely with a talented, multidisciplinary team to deliver results.
- Participate fully in the company safety program.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware product development, systems engineering, or similar multidisciplinary technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to produce practical, implementable designs given technical and use-case constraints.
- History of owning the success of subsystems or systems, both through hands on contribution and leadership of multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Experience working with CAD tools and engineering documentation best practices, with an appreciation for disciplined execution appropriate to an early-stage environment.
- Ability to make material progress despite evolving and developing requirements.
- Experience with energy technologies and chemical processing a plus.
- Experience with DFM / DFA a plus.
- A dynamic, mission-driven team passionate about the future of energy.
- Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
- Equity participation opportunities.
