Full Stack Engineer, Manufacturing Data Platform
Hayward, CA (on-site)
About 1XWe build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance.
The RoleOur Manufacturing Data Platform is the backbone of robot traceability - capturing every component, calibration, and telemetry reading from factory birth through the entire product lifecycle. We need a versatile engineer who can own this platform end-to-end.
As a Full Stack Engineer on the Manufacturing Data Platform, you will be the technical backbone of our Industrial Data Platform (IDP) - owning everything from edge data ingestion to cloud APIs to technician-facing applications. You'll design database schemas, build real-time telemetry pipelines, implement secure authentication, and create intuitive interfaces for factory technicians and end users. This role requires someone who can context-switch between backend services, frontend applications, data architecture, and security implementation.
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on ownership and breadth - you'll touch every layer of the stack and see your work directly impact robot manufacturing quality.
You Will Backend Development- Design and build RESTful APIs and Web Socket services using FastAPI on GCP Cloud Run

- Build configuration push/pull APIs with version control and rollback capability
- Create data pipelines for high-frequency telemetry ingestion (200
Hz, 350KB/s per robot)
- Build Progressive Web App (PWA) for factory technicians: QR scanning, robot diagnostics, recording controls
- Create admin dashboards for fleet management, user administration, and audit log viewing
