The Junior Sales Project Specialist is a technical support position primarily interacting with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Production Departments. A "Special Project" includes special modes developed for a specific customer or purpose, custom code-driven equipment, buy-out equipment fitted to our custom cabinets, customized equipment for special purpose, unitized equipment batteries or line-ups, in addition to special projects as assigned by management.
The activity of this position shall be primarily executed on-site.
- Provide technical guidance to Sales, consultants, designers, chefs, and owners on special projects, equipment designs, and applications.
- Develop conceptual 3D AutoCAD designs and photorealistic renderings for customer review and approval.
- Produce AutoCAD shop drawings and detailed component drawings to support customer approvals and manufacturing.
- Design custom sheet metal components for production using AutoCAD, markups, and written instructions for Solid Works and Punch Press programming.
- Coordinate project drawings, releases, custom parts, and equipment requests across Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production.
- Supply written and verbal support to Production for processing special project orders.
- Contribute project input during Engineering, Sales, and Production meetings.
- Create, revise, and manage Sales spec‑sheet drawings and assist Sales with catalog equipment specifications.
- Maintain CAD files and utility data for the KCL CADalog application.
- Review drawing requests and get approved standard Sales drawings before customer release.
- Support ongoing improvements in design technology through training as directed.
- Read and follow SOPs, policies, purchase orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.
- Complete required safety training and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit with formal training and certification; knowledge of mechanical or technical systems required.
- Associate Degree/Certificate in Technical/Mechanical/Architectural Drafting, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for summarizing and organizing technical information.
- Solid math skills and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
- Knowledge of equipment applications for the Food service industry.
- Work history involving restaurant design or equipment/fixture space layout and detail.
- Previous experience of operating in modern ERP product.
