Hire Art is helping an on‑demand, autonomous ride‑hailing company find a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure that all processes involved in vehicle assembly, bring‑up, and End‑of‑Line (EOL) testing meet the company’s high quality standards.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for embedding quality into manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement across assembly and test operations, and ensuring alignment with internal quality expectations and external regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams.
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you'll:
- Develop and integrate quality and functional checks into manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly‑ and test‑related quality issues.
- Develop, implement, and optimize End‑of‑Line (EOL) testing and validation processes.
- Create, maintain, and update PFMEAs and associated quality documentation.
- Develop and implement control plans to ensure process stability and product quality.
- Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
- Work cross‑functionally to resolve supplier quality, design, or manufacturing‑related issues.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of the company’s quality policy and quality manual.
- Create procedures, work instructions, and processes to align with international quality standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9000, and similar frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
- 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering
- Experience creating and maintaining FMEAs, control plans, and APQP deliverables
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Process improvement certification (Lean Six Sigma, Shainin, or similar)

This is a full‑time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. The role is onsite and available to candidates local to the Hayward, CA area.
