We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Thermal Systems team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in designing and developing thermal components such as heat exchangers, HVAC systems, plastic parts, and air ducting. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal thermal performance, efficiency, and durability of vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop thermal systems and components including HVAC modules, ducts, hoses, heat exchangers and related cooling components.
- Perform thermal analysis and simulations to validate system performance under various operating conditions
- Work on and design plastic and metal components, including material selection, design for manufacturability (DFM), and tooling considerations
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (CAE, manufacturing, suppliers) to optimize designs
- Support, build and coordinate prototype builds, testing, and validation of thermal systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve thermal performance issues during development and production phases
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical documentation
- Release the designed parts as part of the design and development activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in automotive thermal systems or related domain
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heat exchangers, and air duct design
- Experience working with plastic components and injection molding processes
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or Solid Works)
- Understanding of thermal and fluid dynamics principles
- Experience with CAE tools for thermal analysis is a plus
- Good problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with automotive development cycles and standards
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation processes
- Experience working with suppliers and cross‑functional global teams
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
