We’re partnering with a leading autonomous ride-hailing company to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement across prototype and production vehicle programs.
This is a high-impact role supporting the development and industrialization of next-generation autonomous mobility systems. You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure suppliers meet world-class standards from design through start of production.
What You’ll Do- Partner with Vehicle Systems Engineering and Strategic Sourcing to evaluate manufacturability and support supplier selection
- Conduct supplier audits, technical assessments, and manufacturability reviews during early design phases
- Collaborate with suppliers on CAD reviews, drawings, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) optimization
- Lead Supplier Industrialization Roadmap (SIR) activities including tooling validation, process capability, and production readiness
- Manage APQP and PPAP processes from design through SOP
- Drive RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) investigations and support containment and long-term corrective actions
- Analyze supplier quality metrics (FAI, SPC, Cp/Cpk, Pareto) to identify trends and drive improvements
- Support MRB activities and disposition of nonconforming supplier material
- Improve supplier quality systems using lean manufacturing and quality engineering principles
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 40%
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering
- Strong automotive, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing background preferred
- Hands‑on experience with NPI (New Product Introduction)
- Deep knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and supplier development processes
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as:
- Electromechanical assemblies
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling validation, and fixture qualification
- Proficiency with quality tools (Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, DOE, Fishbone, etc.)
- Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 environments preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- CQE (ASQ), Six Sigma Green Belt, or Quality Auditor certifications
- Experience in automotive interiors/exteriors (seating systems, A-class surfaces, high cosmetic requirements)
- Background in autonomous vehicle, EV, or advanced mobility programs
- Experience with supplier portals and global supply base management
