Responsibilities- Work with the corporate quality team to develop and implement QMS procedures, processes, and tools at sites; prepare and provide QMS and quality trainings covering various levels in the organization.
- Collaborate with Development and Process Engineering to create pFMEAs and control plans encompassing required test, inspection, calibration, and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a company‑wide risk register to track and retire risks impacting operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and participate in quality audits: internal, in‑process, product, customer on‑site, and supplier‑related audits as required.
- Support DMR reviews for incoming material and initiate proper corrective action with suppliers.
- Develop quality plans for products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Deploy statistical process control and capability studies to assess processes and capabilities; determine quality improvement parameters by identifying relevant statistical methods.
- Create inspection instructions to support inspections and align inspection methods between our sites and customers where necessary.
- Perform gage studies to quantify measurement technique capability.
- Facilitate failure analysis and root‑cause corrective actions across sites; lead customer escalations to successful closure.
- Support supplier qualification/monitoring program; write and revise policies, procedures, and forms to improve supplier quality processes.
- Lead development of standard operating procedures, review and release process, and provide required training company‑wide.
- Monitor and trend product non‑conformances (DMRs).
- Facilitate quality alert and deviation from SOP program, including issuance and tracking to closure.
- Monitor customer satisfaction initiatives and assist as required.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor the training plan and its execution compliance to requirements.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner to protect self, others, products, materials, and the company.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field and minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in managing quality of product, process, and quality system per ISO
9001. - ASQ certification, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Manufacturing certification; ISO
9001 lead auditor training/certification preferred.
- Knowledge and practical application of quality engineering principles and tools, including FMEA, RCA, GR&R, and 8D/CAPA.
- Knowledge and application of metrology techniques, mechanical measurement systems, and process capability studies.
- Quality auditing expertise to assure compliance with policies, standards, and processes.
- Ability to design appropriate inspection methods to ensure product manufacturability is feasible.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Skilled in SPC and process capability using JMP or similar.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure; strong reading, comprehension, and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency with analytical and advanced mathematics, and computer software (MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, File Maker Pro, etc.).
The employee will be trained in and is to follow all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements. Duties may require working in an office, a controlled chemical and wastewater environment, and a laboratory setting.
