NPI Program Manager will support new business opportunities from initiation through prototype and production release. The role collaborates with senior project managers, customer program management, engineering, and manufacturing operations to ensure projects are accurately planned, resourced, and executed on schedule and budget, while delivering regular status reports to both UCT and customer teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Support the quote process according to UCT’s project procedures.
- Support lead PMs in introducing or transferring products to manufacturing, from complex subsystems to full turnkey process modules following UCT’s NPI process.
- Direct interaction with customers on product development, transition, and production release.
- Lead cross‑functional teams through the NPI process to deliver successful products to customers.
- Communicate and coordinate for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain project status, timeline, and budget.
- Identify and mitigate risks early to allow time for resolution.
- Drive accountability within the department, intercompany, and with customers.
- Promote continuous improvement processes through creative problem solving and judicious application of technology.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive teams toward deliverables.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Results‑oriented and adept at conflict resolution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in clean room manufacturing environments is desirable.
- Computer‑literacy, including proficiency with MS Office, Smartsheet, and CAD.
- English proficiency required; other languages are helpful.
- Professional project management certification strongly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent in a related technical field.
- 2+ years of project management experience in medical, semiconductor, energy, research, or related capital equipment industries.
- Experience in capital equipment manufacturing within the semiconductor, energy, research, or related industries preferred.
- Successful track record in managing NPI programs.

- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.

- Ability to sit for sustained periods.
- Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
- Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
- Work may require out‑of‑town travel (training and meetings), approximately 10% of the time.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $ and $ per year. The total compensation package may also include variable pay, discretionary awards, a full range of medical benefits, a 401(k) eligibility plan, and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave. The employee will be in an “at‑will” position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary and other discretionary compensation at any time.
