Job Overview

The Parts Coordinator oversees parts ordering, receiving, cataloging, inventory and reconciliation for a heavy‑duty truck repair shop. The role processes purchase orders, vendor payment requests, ensures correct parts are sourced from the right vendors, and maintains inventory levels to maximize customer uptime.

Essential Functions
  • Primary designee for conducting physical inventory, parts ordering, and receiving
  • Processing of purchase orders and supplier invoices
  • Ensuring parts are properly recorded into inventory
  • Overseeing parts obsolescence
  • Shipping warranties and parts returns to vendors
  • Maintaining parts room organization and cleanliness
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to cost containment through oversight and adherence to parts processes and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
  • High data entry accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; higher education a plus
  • 1 year or more in inventory and parts administration or clerical functions preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level preferred)
  • Experience with heavy‑duty truck parts, heavy equipment parts or automotive parts

  • Pay:
    Hourly $26.00 (paid weekly)
Compensation

The hourly rate is $26.00, with possible eligibility for annual bonus, commission, or long‑term incentive plans based on level and type.
