Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, put‑away, repairs/refurbishment, and preloading of furniture and accessories.
- Maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts, audits, and process improvements.
- Manage warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Implement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with OSHA and local fire/safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety through weekly meetings, coaching, and hands‑on participation.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage warehouse personnel, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and cross‑training to ensure coverage across all roles.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide timely feedback to enhance team performance.
- Participate in labor planning and scheduling to maximize productivity.
Process Improvement & Strategy
- Establish and monitor KPIs to drive operational excellence and high‑quality customer service.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reductions.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity and workflow across the department.
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven ability to lead and oversee a team of 15–20 hourly employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, database management, and spreadsheet creation; comfortable with email and internet‑based tools.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working both on the warehouse floor for extended periods and at a desk in an office setting.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
