Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager
- Hayward for a direct hire opportunity with a full-service banking and consumer lending environment in Hayward, CA. This role is ideal for a proven branch leader who can drive deposit growth, strengthen customer relationships, develop a high-performing team, and ensure strong operational and compliance standards. The Branch Manager will oversee daily branch administration, sales leadership, client service, team development, security, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of a full-service bank branch, including staffing, customer service, sales performance, compliance, security, and overall branch administration.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop branch employees through regular one-on-one meetings, performance feedback, sales coaching, and career development conversations.
  • Drive branch growth through sales strategies, deposit growth initiatives, outbound calling, relationship building, cross-selling, and community networking.
  • Monitor branch performance, profitability, transaction trends, expenses, audit readiness, and operational quality controls to ensure alignment with bank policies and goals.
  • Resolve complex customer service issues, support business and consumer account needs, and maintain a welcoming, customer-first branch environment.
  • Participate in community and business organizations while supporting CRA-related activities and local relationship-building efforts.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $74,880 to $107,525 per year.

  • Schedule flexibility may be required, including working beyond scheduled hours when needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage full-service branch operations, staffing, sales, service, compliance, and profitability.
  • Lead branch sales strategies focused on deposit growth, customer retention, referrals, and new account generation.
  • Coach, train, develop, and performance-manage branch team members.
  • Oversee operational controls, audit readiness, daily reports, approvals, overdraft decisions, and adherence to banking regulations.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a branch banking environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of branch management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing complex business and consumer accounts.
  • Proven sales ability with documented branch growth results.
  • Strong knowledge of branch banking operations, customer service standards, deposit products, and sales processes.
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, developing, scheduling, and managing employee performance.
  • Ability to lead a team, build strong customer relationships, and create a positive service-focused branch culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Active involvement in local business or community organizations, such as a Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, or similar group.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software programs.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced branch environment.
  • Current California driver's license and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage for business-related driving.
  • Ability to work independently, in office, and with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Notary Public preferred.
  • Experience supporting CRA-related community activities.
  • Established local business or community relationships in the Hayward, CA market preferred.
