Engineering Maintenance Technician

Overview

Join our dynamic team and become a critical guardian of technological infrastructure. As a Data Center Engineering Technician, you will help maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure to support seamless operations and high uptime.

• Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including filter changes, battery system PMs, rack and diesel generator PMs, and other preventive maintenance activities
• Perform root cause analysis for operational issues
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
• Ensure all personnel on-site follow safety protocols
• Work on-call and on a rotating schedule as needed
• Take daily operational readings and provide metrics reporting to senior engineers
• Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and task prioritization

• All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations

• Work at heights and from ladders
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more
• Carry objects weighing up to 49 pounds for short distances
• Work shifts longer than eight hours; respond to off-hour emergency calls
• Maintain balance and perform construction tasks while on a ladder
• Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience, or 1+ years in data center or mission-critical facilities (e.g., hospital, military facility, public safety facility); 2+ years of data center engineering experience
• Knowledge of backup generator systems
• Knowledge of safe electrical practices according to guidelines set by relevant electrical safety supervisory bodies (e.g., ECSSA and RECI in Ireland)
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
