The SVT Material Expeditor is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure production schedules remain on track and customer commitments are met. This role primarily focuses on coordinating the shipment and transfer of materials dedicated to production parts manufactured in Vietnam.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Prepare and package components for bi-weekly shipments, including pallet stacking and strapping for international transport
- Proactively expedite urgent work orders by coordinating with cross-functional teams through completion
- Move and stage materials across multiple work centers and departments to support production flow
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment and timely execution
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
- Forklift experience (we will train and certify you)
- Previous experience using MRP system and Microsoft outlook OS
- Must be organized and highly detail oriented, open to taking a collaborative and creative approach, be solutions based and proactive
- Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) both departmentally and with customers and freight carriers
- Ability to quickly change priorities throughout the day
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
